Composition of the synthetic building: daycare centers

Information on 32 daycare centers and kindergartens from the BKI database was evaluated in order to derive characteristic areas, volumes and material indicators. Day nurseries/facilities, kindergartens and after-school care centers were taken into account. 14 properties could be examined in detail, i.e. on the basis of component-related area data and building descriptions (data up to the 2nd cost level).
The capacities of the daycare centers range from 15 to 210 places per facility, i.e. an average of 84 places per facility (group size: Ø 19 children/group).

The dates of completion of the daycare centers analyzed (32/32) range from 1992 to 2011.
