Based on the building materials, the waste categories resulting from demolition are determined with the help of the waste classification list (AVV). These waste categories show clear references to possible recycling routes.
The allocations of the building materials to the waste categories are listed in the chart which illustrates the percentage shares for the part of the mineral building materials. These represent an estimate of the proportions in which the respective building material is present in the assigned various waste categories during demolition (Schiller et al. 2022). In the context of calculations, these proportions help to draw conclusions from the demolition material to its various waste categories that result.
