Combined heat and power plants

Combined heat and power (CHP) plants are buildings in which systems for generating electrical energy and heat are housed. The buildings have boiler, pump and engine rooms as well as rooms for control technology, switching stations, transformers, crane systems, sanitary and personnel areas.

The CHP plants are buildings with hall-like areas in reinforced concrete construction. Reinforced concrete columns are combined with solid reinforced concrete walls (partially insulated) and ribbon windows. The ceilings in these plants are made of reinforced concrete, while the roofs are steel structures that include reinforced concrete ceiling slabs, thermal insulation and flat roofing.
