Office and administrative buildings

Office and administrative buildings are non-domestic buildings that primarily contain office space and rooms for administrative activities (StaBu IV V5, StaBu 1978).

Office and administrative buildings include: Office and administrative buildings belonging to the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors; office and administrative buildings belonging to the manufacturing sector; office and administrative buildings belonging to the retail, transport and postal and telecommunications companies ; office and administrative buildings belonging to banks and building societies, insurance companies and service providers as well as office and administrative buildings belonging to regional authorities, social insurance agencies and non-profit organisations (Destatis 2014). These are, for example, office and administrative buildings, corporate headquarters, municipal offices, banks, publishing houses, parliament buildings or court buildings.
