The Heat Stress App evaluate the heat stress and the performance of adaptation measures for both, indoors in residential buildings and in urban open spaces. It supports the selection and implementation of appropriate measures.
Thermal building simulations are based on three-dimensional, spatially accurate building models. Their development and creation allows a detailed analysis of the effects in terms of structural, technical and behavioural adaptation measures.
In order to characterise current heat loads in buildings, relevant parameters for the indoor climate are recorded over a longer period in summer time. This serves as the basis for qualitative analyses and the testing of simulation results.
