… are buildings which provide space for the vehicle parking. They are partly constructed below the surface, i.e. they have one or several underground storeys. In general, underground car parks have only one underground storey and a capacity for around ten to 130 cars. They belong to laboratories or institutes (or similar institutions) or to residential complexes.
Underground car parks are reinforced-concrete structures which, reflecting the building code, are resistant to earth pressure and are damp-proofed. However, they are not thermally insulated (Gruhler, Deilmann 2015).
