SFH 1979-1990 for East and West Germany – compilation of representative buildings

The synthetic single-family house from 1979 to 1990 for East and West Germany is derived from the following seven representative buildings. 

 

Two-storey one-family house, 1962, mixed construction (concrete, brick), flat roof, no roof terrace

  • Exterior walls: washed concrete, aerated concrete with wood cladding
  • Ceilings: reinforced concrete
  • Roof: flat roof with non-rigid covering and gravel layer

 

Two-storey terraced house, masonry construction, non-converted attic

  • Exterior walls: lightweight vertical coring brick
  • Ceilings: reinforced concrete
  • Roof: gabled roof (timber rafters) with rigid covering

 

Two-storey terraced house, 1970, masonry construction with exterior cladding, flat roof with roof terrace

  • Exterior walls: sand-lime brick
  • Ceilings: reinforced concrete
  • Roof: flat roof with non-rigid covering and roof vegetation


One-storey family house, wooden construction, developed attic

  • Exterior walls: wooden frame construction        
  • Ceilings: reinforced concrete (basement), wooden beam ceiling    
  • Roof: insulated gable roof (wooden rafters) with hard roofing

 

Two-storey single-family house with basement and converted attic 

  • Exterior walls: plastered sand-lime brickwork
  • Ceilings: reinforced concrete (basement, ground floor, first floor), wooden beam ceiling (attic)    
  • Roof: gable roof (wooden rafters) with hard roofing (tiles)

 

Single-storey detached house with basement and attic

  • Exterior walls: sand-lime brick    
  • Ceilings: reinforced concrete (basement, ground floor), wooden beam ceiling (attic)    
  • Roof: gable roof (wooden rafters) with hard roofing (concrete roof tiles)
